Hi!

I'm Abby, the owner of WriteWatchWork.

To get to know me a little bit, I thought I'd share some information about myself and what my life looks like. So, here goes...

I'm an October baby, born just before Halloween and live in the United Kingdom.

I would say I'm quite a multifaceted person, purely because I have different sides to my personality. One part of me is the introverted bookworm, who loves comfy clothes and listening to Taylor Swift and watching romcoms.

But then there's the sporty side of me - something I never thought I'd say - which means I often wear sports merch and watch F1, NFL and now NHL.

Then there's the part of the me who loves rock music and Spanish music and action movies and several other things I could list.

And I am interested in working in the publishing industry.

But what do I actually do?

Well, answering that question is a bit complicated. At the moment, I'm focusing on building experience and skills to pursue a career in publishing.

I am a university student, studying a part-time, online degree in Creative Writing. Many people think Creative Writing is a hobby degree, but I respectfully disagree - it is a lot more challenging than one would realise.

Alongside my degree, I am a freelance beta read. I also create content for social media, in particular, BookTok and Bookstagram, and am working on writing my first manuscript.

Previously, I was a motorsport journalist, podcaster and editor for FormulaNerds. Sadly, the website shut down last year, but you can still view some of my work in my portfolio.

And of course, I am a blogger on all things books, entertainment, work and lifestyle.
